Some Pictures

I talked to my mom today and she wanted some more pictures. This is all I have for right now, and they're a few days old. Sorry!

As you can see, Chaela is very happy in this picture. Haha. Currently this is Will's favorite. It's our desktop background and I think it's at the end of one of his movies.

Well not much is new. Chaela and I are just at home now, which has been great! We've kind of gotten into a schedule, but it only lasts until Will gets home. Also, it goes out the window on weekends... because Will is home. He throws off our groove! That's ok, though, variety is the spice of life. I'm going to be starting Independent Study classes soon, which is cool. One of them is Health and you have to make an exercise schedule, so I'm hoping that helps me drop some weight. Or A LOT of weight. Let's just say I'm not looking forward to summer just yet, since you can't wear huge baggy sweatshirts. So that's what's going on with us. We're going to be moving sometime within the next week and a half, also. I should probably start packing. Hope all is well with all of you!

Funny Story

Ok, I know I've been posting a lot lately, but here's a funny story of something that happened to me today. I was waiting for Will to pick me up from a final and had wandered down the street and was standing by a stoplight. So people are walking by me crossing the street, and a guy walked by (he looked like a freshman or a very recent RM) and glanced at me and then bent down to tie his shoe... very slowly... until the little red hand came on that means don't walk. Then he stands up, looks around for a few seconds, finally looks at me and says:

"Oh! I missed the light because I had to tie my shoe!"
"I see that," I replied. Not unfriendly; I smiled and laughed a little, too.

Then he said, "I like how your flipflops match your shirt." Both are blue.

"Thanks," I said, still smiling. By this time I know what is going on, so I pull my sleeve up so that my ring is visible and put my hand on my face.

Oblivious. "You just get out of a final?" he asked.

"Yeah, only one more until I graduate!"

"Wow, that's cool." I could tell he was suprised, because I was older than he'd thought. He looked to the parking lot across the street, presumably where his car was located. "So... are you just waiting for someone to come and get you?" I could tell he was about to offer me a ride.

"Yeah," I said, "my husband will be here pretty soon."

He turned around, even though he'd been standing there talking to me almost through another light. "Ok, bye!" And that was the last I saw of him. I didn't even get to tell him I had a six-month-old daughter! Too bad. Oh, how I will miss those brave freshman boys at BYU when I graduate!

Fun Stuff!

She was leaning on the rocking chair. Her balance is getting better! Don't worry, I was about 3 inches away from her.

Chillaxing.
Future computer programmer? Graphic designer? Genius? Who knows...
Maybe product catalogue model...
I don't care as long as she's happy!

This is a video of Chaela's newest trick! It's so fun because now she's playing with us, too! The other day she was chewing on one of her toys and I was holding her, and she decided that she'd share and stuck the toy in my mouth, too! It's the only time she's done it, so maybe it was accidental, but it was still cute!

Tarzan Baby

Hello again! The past two days in Utah have been nice (finally), so we took Chaela outside for a little while today. It was fun, but then she got fussy so we brought her back inside and now she's completely out.

This was about the point that Will had a brilliant idea. You see, there was a rope tied to the tree, and Chaela likes to hold on to anything string-like.

And this last one is a random tree in the back yard. Pretty, though! Yay for spring!

In other news, one final down three to go. I seem to be doing ok so far, except that I thought my first final was on Friday, so I got up at 7:30, got all ready, got Chaela ready, caught the 8:30 bus, rode it for an hour, got to campus at 9:30 only to find NO ONE in my classroom, TA's office, or professor's office, went to the Linguistics's Dept. office and they told me my exam was on SATURDAY! How LAME! It's my own fault, but I swore it was Friday. So I got some breakfast and then caught the bus home and got there at about 11:30. Talk about a waste of my life! Anyways, thought that you all might find that amusing.

Nothing really new in Will's life except some Halo 3 maps, but he says hi and that I'm doing the post because he changed the picture where the title is.

Have a nice day because it's spring and days are nice again! Woohoo!

Last day of formal education, and I'm famous!

Well, today was my last ever day of formal education. Amazing. I still have finals left, but those aren't a big deal. I'm done with class forever! It's so weird, I was so focused on getting through this semester that I didn't really realize what it would mean. I've been in school since 1988 or something (if you count preschool). That's 20 years. Maybe it hasn't been that long, I don't know, my mom would have to tell you, but school is all I've ever known. What am I supposed to do now? Get a job? I know it's supposed to be the obvious thing... but it's just so weird. I'd rather go back to school. Not that I have to go cold turkey, since I still have two classes to take before I can graduate. But since I'm taking them Independent Study, they don't count. My last day of class is over. It's surreal. I thought I would be happy, but I'm mostly sad. I would happily trade Will places and let him continue to work and go to school for him. Actually, he would trade me, too, haha. Too bad for real life, isn't it?

On a more interesting note, on my last day of school ever, me and Chaela were in the newspaper! There wasn't an interview or anything, some guy just took our picture because the whole issue was about student families. It was pretty cool. So we're famous! Unfortunately, Chaela was utterly asleep when he came up to me, and she still is in the picture, which was sad because she's so cute when she's awake and you can see her face! I think so anyway. You know, I may be biased... but here it is either way! I'm so glad that all of BYU could witness my double chin!

Well, those are my thoughts for the evening. To all a goodnight!

It's me! I'm alive!

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted, mostly because it's been the end of the semester. However, I am happy to announce that I finished my last paper last night and now I'm finished except for my exams! Yay!! So I'm pretty excited about that, especially since tests don't really bother me that much. The only thing I'm worried about is finding someone to watch Chaela, because I really don't want to have to take her. Thank goodness Lindsay will be out here for a few days, so she'll at least be able to watch her for 2 or 3 of them. And one is in the evening, so Will will be home.
Anyways, aside from school being over, not much is going on... because that pretty much takes up all of my time. Oh! We did find an apartment, and I think we got it, but it's not for sure yet. It's not far from where we live now, which is good for now. Personally, I just can't wait to get out of this entire state. Here are some new pictures of Chaela!

As you can see, she's begun to participate in her father's Halo parties. Also (and much more exciting) she can sit up by herself for a few minutes at a time. Yay! But then she forgets there's nothing behind her and pushes herself backwards. That doesn't make her happy. But that's ok, practice makes perfect!!

Except that I'm going to have to say no to my daughter being a gamer. Sorry, Will.
