From Newborn to Infant!

Alright, I finally looked it up and realized that my surgery is on the 7th, so everyone pray for me. I have to admit, I'm really nervous about it, mostly because surgery is like my greatest fear and I never thought I'd ever have to have it.

The 7th, by the way, is also Chaela's 3 month birthday! Yay. Also, yesterday she graduated from newborn to infant when she turned 12 weeks old. Fun times! She's getting so old!! I put her in a 3 month sleeper (the smallest one we have) and she's still swimming in it, but you can tell it will fit her someday!

This is her laying in the play gym thing we got her so she could have somewhere to practice tummy time (part of it folds over and makes a place for her to play with toys and look in the mirror). It also turns into a tunnel for her to crawl through when she starts doing that! Pretty fun, but she still hates tummy time. I'm really going to try and do 15 mins a day at least from now on or else she won't ever crawl, she'll just go from nothing to walking!!

It's Been Over a Week!?!?!

Holy cow! It's been 9 days since we've posted on our blog! Time flies when it's really stressful! Yeah... school... not my favorite at this moment. I'm just kind of pushing through until April, which is too bad, because I really think I would enjoy some of these classes if I had any time to spend on them.
Oh, and just so everyone knows, I scheduled the surgery to have my gallbladder removed! Yay! It's going to be next Thursay, which may or may not be the 4th of February, I don't know and I'm too tired to look it up at the moment. Pray for me, because I'm really not looking forward to being cut open. I am, however, looking forward to being able to eat cheese again! CHEESE!
Well, Chaela is doing well. Her cheeks seem to have grown visibly fatter! I'm going to try the blogger uploader thing and see if it works... I think this is the cutest video of her so far! We weren't moving the blanket at all, it was totally her. She's amazing once again!

Unlike The Office Writers...

Well unlike the writers for The Office who have been on strike for a disappointing 3 months...I don't really know how long they've been on strike, but my point is I'm not like them. You may have thought I would not post again because perhaps I was like the writers for The Office. Well here's proof that I'm not. Well I'm enjoying our new computer with my 28 inch HD widescreen monitor, but we also use it as our TV, considering it's bigger than our TV and it's High Definition. LOVE IT! Watching The Pats win the Superbowl will be glorious! Sorry Jason The Packers didn't make it. I thought it was a mighty shame...Well I didn't really care because my Pats are going! Woo-hoo! Chargers couldn't even score a touchdown, they thought they could win with just field goals; silly Chargers.
Chaela likes the new screen as well. She loves sitting in her recliner watching the Pats stomp on all the rest of the competition with daddy. Right here she's thinking, "come on seriously how did the Chargers make it to the Championship? The Colts would have had a better chance beating us. Oh well who knows maybe the Giants will beat the Packers..." sorry Jason I couldn't resist. Well that's the update for me. I am now officially off strike. Thanks goes out to all my faithful blog readers. Well bye bye.

My Mom was getting Impatient Again...

Hello everyone! My mom wanted some more pictues ("It's been five days!!!!") so here they are, taken last night. As Will promised me that he'd be posting later, I'll let him update you on what's new (still not much). Here are some new pictures of Chaela!

Chaela and mommy. Mommy is hiding behind the blanket so you can't see her chins. Very successful!

This is Chaela and her friend Mason Olsen. He's about a week and a half older than she is... but as you can see, quite a bit larger. Most babies her age are bigger than her, though. She's following in mom and dad's footsteps. As we want to be just like Jason and Jana, Chaela wants to be like her cousin Addie. and stay in the smallest percentile she can.

I didn't notice it at the time, but they're holding hands in this picture! Mason kind of looks like he wants to run away, but when Rosalie (Mason's mom) asked Chaela if she thought Mason was cute, Chaela smiled really big, like she was saying "heck yes, I do!"

Making faces at the camera!

Being so small, it's actually pretty easy for her to hold her own weight. She's been doing this for about a month now, and last night she was standing (with a little help from mom) for quite a while. I'm glad I finally got some pictures of her doing something other than laying down!!!

With her beanie and striped outfit, I kind of thought she looked like a little pink convict. Haha.

Will Must Still Be On Strike

Hello everyone! Not much is new once again, but about a week ago I got a haircut and I just haven't posted any pictures yet. This is what I look like with bangs in 2008:

I like to think it's improvement over the 1990's. Oh! Also, funny story. Chaela has finally gotten big enough to actually play with a little more, so Will decided it would be fun to to put her on his shoulders. Chaela agreed, and decided it would be fun to show her appreciation:

by spitting up all over daddy's head. HAHA! Yes, while I was attempting to take a cute daddy-daughter picture, I caught her in mid-spit up. Amazing! You see how Will is still smiling? That's because this was taken exactly 0.5 seconds before he realized he'd be regurgitated on. Hahahahaha!

Isn't she great? We think so.

When Moms get Bored (Dun Dun Dun!)

Hey everyone! I got bored earlier on this evening and had a little fun. I hope you can see it. You may have to look hard.

Chaela loves it.
Hey this is Will I haven't posted in forever because I'm on strike, that's all.
This is Caitlyn again. Will tried to take over the computer. Anyways, in other news, I have gallstones. Yes, once again, I just want to be like Jana. Soon we will be living in TN or MS if we keep following the pattern. That would be ok with me, I prefer the east. Tangent! So I'll have to have my gallbladder removed sometime soon, because gallstones HURT. Worse than childbirth. I'd rather have triplets than another gallstone attack. Without an epidural. Will says that I wouldn't but yes, I would. He's never had a gallstone attack or a child, so I don't trust his comparison. But when I went to the doctor, the nurse let me look at the ultrasound that showed the stones. That was pretty cool!
My classes are also ok. I bring Chaela with me to most of them and my professors are ok with it. She doesn't make any noise, so why would they care? As one of them put it, "If you can't have a baby and go to BYU, where can you do it?" Good point, Dr. Eliason, good point.
Well that's all. I'm going to go find some low-fat (blah) snack. Fat is what causes those nasty attacks for those who were wondering. ADVICE FOR PREGNANT FRIENDS: Eat low fat foods while you're pregnant. I don't know if it will help prevent gallstones, but it might. However, it WILL prevent you from having to lose 40 extra pounds to get back down to the weight you were when you got married. The end.

Holding up her head!

More Smiles

I know this is why you all check the blog...

So here are some pictures of Chaela! She's not doing much in them but babies don't and I it's been a while since I posted any new ones. Here you go!

Here are some pictures of Chaela! She was 2 months old on Monday and is 9 weeks old today. She's growing so fast!

Happy New Year

So I'm a little late wishing everyone a happy new year, but that's ok. This year we've got a lot going on. I'm about to start my last full semester at school FINALLY. However, after this I have 2 more classes to take, so I won't be graduating until August. But I will be GRADUATING this year!!!! Yay! Besides, I can't let Kristin graduate before me, that would be lame.

We've also just moved into a new place. It's bigger and nicer than our old one for the same price! Amazing. It's because friends of Will's bought a new house and are renting us the basement apartment. It's amazing. It's quieter and we have a yard for Chaela! So now she can play outside without me worrying about her getting run over (it's fenced in). There's also a place for a garden here and they're going to let me plant part of it. Score! I love gardening!
Oh, and Chaela finally had a Well Baby checkup on her 8 week birthday. She's 9 pounds, 5.5 ounces, and 21 and 1/4 inches long. That's pretty small for a 2 month old, I guess, but according to my mom I was only 17 pounds at a year. That's pretty small, too. She's around the 5 percentile for weight and height, but between 25 and 50 for head circumference (15.34 in). The doctor said she's really healthy though, so that's good. Her next check up will be when she's 4 months. Yay!

Also for the first part of this year, Kristin will be living with us (this is an old picture though). It's already great! Last night she went with me to watch Will play basketball. Much less boring with someone there to talk to! She's also a great help with Chaela. It makes such a huge difference having another set of hands to hold the baby.

Well that's all I can think of right now. I haven't taken any new pictures in a while, but honestly she's not changing as fast any more and she looks the same as she did last week. That's ok though, I'll try and get some new ones anyways.
