Hello all! Will and I have been thinking A LOT lately about our future, what with me about to graduate and him not having anymore reasons not to go to school. For a long time neither of us have really known what we want to do for our careers.Well, I don't actually want a career (as most of you know), but I need to work for a while until Will gets settled. He's gone back and forth quite a bit in the past few years. EMT, fireman, getting a degree in Business Management, a degree in Graphic Design. He wasn't sure about any of these, however, as I think he thought they all doomed him to a life of boredom and going to work because he had to.
Imagine my absolu
te joy, then, when yesterday he comes home and tells me he's decided what he wants to do for a career! Yes, Will has decided that his goal is to work for Bungie, the people who make the video games Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3!So we've started looking online for the best game designing schools out there, and another convenient thing is that they're all technical schools like ITT-Tech and DeVry, which have campuses all over the country! This will be great when I'm looking for a steady job, because we can still go almost anywhere. Technical schools all say that you can graduate pretty quickly, too, so hopefully it will only take him three years to get his Bachelor's! Woo hoo!
As for me, I mentioned that I am working on a very bad manuscript for a book. My goal is to finish it around the time I graduate and send it out to some publishing companies as I'm searching for a job. Another goal of mine is to have lost about 30-40 pounds by then and I'm well on my way. I have a new friend in my ward and we've decided that we're going to go on walks every night (or something like that). Last night we went and we were out for an hour and a half! That means we probably walked 4-6 miles and I didn't even notice! Exercise is easy when it's not boring.
Well, that's all I have for now! But I'm so excited that our future is taking shape!
