Many Thoughts

I'm having many thoughts right now.  Hopefully it's a sign that brain function is returning after pregnancy.

I am thinking I wish my sister would post more pictures of her new baby, and also that they are a sad replacement for not being able to see my nephew in person.

I am thinking I'm going to eat this entire bag of Kettle Corn, because it only has 150 calories, even though the last time I did I got a stomach ache.

I am thinking about my hair.  Look at this:

It's just kind of a lot.  I don't know when it got that long.  I'm torn, because part of me feels like I *must* donate it to Locks of Love, because it's something I've been blessed with and I, in turn, need to share it.  However, the selfish part of me doesn't know if I want to cut it that short, because long hair is hot (meaning I'd still cut it, but only a few inches, not enough to donate), and I've been pregnant for so long that I want to hold on to the things that make me feel that way.  I just keep not deciding and it just keeps getting longer.  I need opinions on this.  What do you guys think I should do?

I am thinking I need to start writing again.  I've recharged my batteries by reading about 20 YA novels (no exaggeration, I've literally read that many recently) and given birth to the baby that was using all my creative energy, so I think I'm just about ready to start again.

I am thinking that Netflix is freaking awesome.  We pay not very much money every month and have access to TONS of awesomeness online... like all four seasons of Bones, which I am diligently working through.  We also have access to a bunch of kid movies that I'd never waste my money on but Chaela loves.  Nice.

That's all for now.  Just a bunch of random stuff.  Too much for a facebook status, but a decent blog, right?  Don't forget to tell me what you think I should do about my hair!!

IF you decided you wanted to donate, pantene only requires 8", which is a lot less than it sounds like. but really, don't feel obligated now. there will be a time when you'll want short hair, and you can donate it then. don't have a haircut you don't want just in order to donate. i've donated once, to pantene, but that's when i wanted my hair short.

ok now i think i'm just being repetitive. going to go to sleep :)

Okay I love your hair long but I don't ever think I've seen it that long! I would personally say donate it but that is just because I can't get my hair to grow that long. I just cut a few inches off of it the other day and its to my chin. My hair hasn't been past my shoulders since 3rd grade!

I'm with Maya. You've done it once, that is awesome. If it works agian to cut off 8 inches (and that's not that much considering how long your hair is, I cut almost 12 off of mine!). But if you want it long, KEEP IT LONG! Not liking your hair is NOT worth it!

The great thing about hair is, it grows back. You just had another major change in your life so I say experiment and go with what feels right right now.

i say do what makes you happy right now. you might think that your prego hormones are going back to normal but if u cut your hair and you hate it..its not worth it because those hormones can really mess with ya (i know you know this...just reminding!)

its good to see that you are able to read and watch movies and thinking about writing again...gives me hope when we have another that it may not be THAT BAD! i freaked out about having 2!

i think you should at least trim it. like take off five inches. your hair is ridiculously long. that is all. but even if you do cut off like 12 inches wouldnt your hair still be below your shoulders? then it would be as long as mine!

Thanks for the input everyone! I was looking into maybe selling my hair now, because we could really use the money and I haven't dyed it in about six years (so I'm pretty sure all the hair I dyed is gone, since it only takes me two years to grow it this long).

When you donate your hair to something through a hair stylist, they are getting money for your hair. That is why they will usually give you the haircut for free. If you are going to go for the cut, make some money for yourself and it will still go to good use for someone in need of great hair.
